This was the powerful message at the heart of the fourth annual forum organized by Pomellato in partnership with CADMI (Casa di Accoglienza delle Donne Maltrattate) in Milan. Drawing over 500 attendees to Teatro Manzoni, the event marked a crucial evolution in the dialogue, moving beyond the question of "why" to address the more pressing matter of "how" to effect real change. From recognizing early warning signs to promoting mindful communication, from supporting women to implementing legislative measures, each session brought together experts from the legal, academic, and social sectors. "Violence stems from the annihilation of the other and the denial of their rights. It's essential to reshape how we educate about conflict," noted Professor Luca Milani, emphasizing the importance of this approach. The innovative addition of live polling among attendees enriched the discussion, offering real-time insights into public awareness and understanding of these crucial issues.

The event culminated with the announcement of a strategic partnership between Pomellato and Bocconi University to study economic violence - an often overlooked form of gender-based abuse. "There is a direct correlation between financial literacy and gender violence: as financial education increases, gender violence decreases," explained Professor Paola Cillo. This research initiative, which will present its findings in November 2025, marks another milestone in corporate-academic partnerships driving meaningful social change. It serves as a powerful reminder that combating violence against women requires not only awareness but also sustained, multi-faceted efforts across all sectors of society.
